Just Practices is an organization providing quality training, facilitation and support to schools and communities wishing to implement a restorative approach to wrongdoing. This organization was established in 2006 with Marg Armstrong as its Director. Restorative Practices view wrongdoing and conflict as a violation of people and relationships, rather than a violation of set rules. This philosophy aims to repair and restore relationships through dialogue and understanding, so all parties affected can have a voice in their future. The implementation of this philosophy in schools is moving at a frenetic pace, and is also utilized in our courts and communities. Just Practices provides training in restorative practices to school personnel, social workers, psychologists, guidance officers, youth workers, court personnel and police officers. We also offer our services to facilitate community conferences where required. |
